We celebrate two of the most impactful drummers in history with an all-star sextet featuring music director Bob DeBoo (bass), Scooter Brown (saxophone), Jacob Melsha (trombone), Danny Campbell (trumpet), Antonio Foster (piano), and the dynamic Emmanuel Harrold (drums). Not only will this weekend celebrate the mastery of Art Blakey, but also drummer Montez Coleman, whose birthday weekend was always a special time at Jazz St. Louis and who developed this Blakey tribute many years ago. Tez would have celebrated his 50th birthday on July 23, 2023.
