Come feel the rhythm for two nights of various Latin dance styles as the Agbara Sextet takes the stage! There will be an included dance lesson to kick off both evenings followed by an open and social dance floor with Latin dance and live Latin jazz. Matthew Henry will be joining us on May 10!
Master percussionist Matt Henry and his dynamic sextet embraces that spirit and features a venerable “who’s who” of St. Louis musicians. Agbara is the West African Yoruba word for vigor, energy, and power. The Yoruba people and their musical aesthetics are a source of many of the aspects of Latin Jazz. Spread the word and experience the Bistro come to life for our first ever Latin Dance Night! Doors open at 6 pm and the dance instruction begins at 6:30 pm.
