Jeffrey Anderson is bringing a promising group of talented individuals to the Ferring Jazz Bistro stage for an evening of swinging, hard-bop tunes. With over four decades of experience in performance, composition, and music education, the accomplished musician is proficient in saxophone, bass, and piano. On June 1, Anderson showcased his skills as a bassist and sideman with the Carlos Henriquez Nonet performance, but now he makes his debut as a bandleader on the saxophone. He will be accompanied by Reggie Thomas on piano, Eric Slaughter on guitar, Bob DeBoo on bass, Marty Morrison on drums, and special guest vocalist Kim Fuller!

 

This vibrant ensemble will showcase a blend of jazz classics, with a dedicated homage to the esteemed David Sanborn. Anderson describes this group of musicians as “top-notch” performers capable of unique improvisation. His longstanding relationships with each musician gives them an edge in delivering performances that are both structured and spontaneous.
